For the first time in six a long time, Lakeside defeated Minden in boys tennis in a post-football season matchup.
In any hard-fought battle, Lakeside used their span and defensive tenacity to help overpower Minden in a frantic fourth-quarter refuse between parish rivals, 64-62.
Minden came out incredibly hot in the first half, having a 29-23 lead into halftime.
In the third district, both teams got hot, with Lakeside starting the second one half on an 11-5 run to tie the overall game at 34-34 with 4:Thirty-three to play in the third. Lakeside got a 1-point lead shortly after, but Minden responded with some sharp picture taking to take a 48-45 lead to the final quarter.

“It was a game of runs,Inch Lakeside head coach Jason Gould proclaimed. “We missed some free kicks late that would have placed the game away, but we have been able to hold on.”
Minden head guru Rennie Bailey was proud of his team’s effort, but not so much using execution down the stretch.
“It’s beginning to sound like a broken record,Inches Bailey said. “But we have to be better defensively along with develop a better understanding of ways to play on the offensive finish.”
Jordan Becnel and Davis each had Of sixteen points to lead Minden, while Pursue Mitchell led Lakeside with 17 elements and Michael Bradford added Sixteen.
Lady Tiders vs. Lady Warriors
The Minden Lady Tiders gone to 5-1 with a 67-25 win over the Lady Enthusiast.
“I thought we got off to an increase, knocked some shots lower and ran the floor great,” Minden head coach Jake Brown said.
Minden led 23-4 soon after one quarter, and only continued so that you can roll from there.
“We still have occasions where we need to take care of the ball and do a better work of blocking out. There’s even now a lot of growing we need to complete as a team,” Brown claimed.
Derrica Gilbert led Minden with Thirteen points, Taylor Banks and Bre Rodgers additional 12 and Whitney Aubrey and Shi Loftin added 8.
