Crimson Tide, Lady Tiders take Doyline Tourney titles
DOYLINE C Minden fans could not have scripted a more rewarding Doyline Tournament outcome.
The Crimson Hold and Lady Tiders played inspired basketball over the past weekend, and against solid competitors, to come away with finals in the boys and girls bracket on the Doyline Tournament.
After defeating Doyline 66-60 in the semifinals, Minden beat Red River 51-49 in the tournament game in front of a crazy crowd to earn their own title. The Tide trailed by just double digits most of the night before mounting a fourth-quarter comeback to cap it by one of the season’s a lot of chaotic endings.
Minden began their very own comeback by switching upward their lineup, removing its forwards in favor of a smaller, quicker your five on the floor.
