Minden Holiday Classic tips away from Wednesday


The 26th annual Minden Holiday Timeless basketball tournament begins Thursday at three locations around the city of Minden. The Crimson Keep and Lady Tiders enter the tournament situation fresh off championships during last week’s Doyline Tournament.

This year’s tournament boasts an additional talented field of 24 teams, combining both the young children bracket.

Quarterfinal play will continue at three locations on Thurs . before shifting to two locations on Friday . The consolation and winners bracket great games will be played Wednesday at The Palace. The girls title game is slated to be able to tip at 6:Forty p.m. with the guys championship to follow.

Minden High Athletic Director and Dean of Students J. Todd Patterson believes this year’s Classic might be another success.

“Both our organizations are doing well this year,Inch Patterson said. “We have two hometown boys coaching our clubs and this tournament gives Minden a lot of exposure. It helps us money wise, no doubt, but we also pass on the wealth by actively playing at three locations. We expect some good crowds this current year.”
