The Minden Crimson Keep made it back-to-back wins in The Development to conclude their 2017-18 home stone, downing the North DeSoto Griffins Tuesday day by a score of 67-39.
“I am very proud and very pleased about the Tide’s effort both offensively plus defensively tonight,” Minden boys go coach Rennie Bailey said. “I thought that most of us played together, as a team; I figured we played very un-selfish and shared the baseball and that was the key.”
Minden hit the ball as well as they’ve all season, perhaps finding comfort the Haughton Jack Clayton Invitational.
They also played pretty good defense, limiting To the north DeSoto to just 37 points for the evening.
“I thought that we were decent defensively,” Bailey said. “we definitely secured well in our man-to-man, which was fine to see. Just an overall wonderful win and an encouraging indicator heading into the next year.”
Minden has got one game left with their schedule, a trip to Shreveport on Friday to face Class 4A No. An individual Woodlawn.
The Tide were led offensively Thursday by junior Zion Crawford with 24 points. Crawford should return to be a leader for Minden next season. Kendrick Crawford increased 9 points, as does Cedrick Emerson, and Trey Oliver and Curtis Carter just about every finished with 6 points.
