FARMERVILLE C The Lakeside Lady A warrior snapped a 9-game losing skid Thursday night night on the road, but it did not come easy.
The Lady Players had to earn their to begin with district the hard way, ever coming back from an 8-point deficit with halftime to defeat the D’Arbonne Timber Charter School Lady Timberwolves 40-35.
“It would have been a pretty ugly first half for us,” Lakeside head private coach Rendi Dillard said. “Down eight at the one half, we were stagnant in our the offense, but by scrambling defensively along with managing to leave it at your fingertips, we were able to make some alterations at halftime.”
The adjustments worked out during this night, as Lakeside chipped out at D’Arbonne Woods lead, ultimately stealing it away in addition to holding it until the previous buzzer.
“We came to play the second half,Inch Dillard said. “It wasn’t perfect in any respect, but we are learning as well as making improvements everyday.”
LaDayeshia Allen led the Lady Warriors with Fifteen points, followed by Allison Lofton in twice figures with 12 factors.
Lakeside will be in action again today as they host Green Trees in Sibley. Following the girls match, Lakeside will honor former long time Lakeside boys head coach Jason Gould.
