Men’s Hockey Drops 3-1 Judgement At UW-River Falls

RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The Gustavus men’s tennis team came up short for the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Sunday evening at Hobbs Ice Core, falling 3-1 against the Falcons, dropping it has the overall record to 6-6-3 all round.

UW-River Falls got on the scoreboard first near the midway point of the initial period and held onto its one-goal lead throughout the second and third period until the Gusties tied the sport early on in the final shape.

The Black and Gold outshot any Falcons 14-10 through the first two periods and also prevailed 1:35 in the third period. Jake McCann tied the overall game, his second of the season together with help from Colton Schmidt , which would be the team’azines only goal of the game.

JP Eykyn had a way to give Gustavus the lead with within 10 minutes left in the game, however , missed wide on a charges shot. Soon after, UWRF converted for a loose puck around the crease to the go-ahead goal. The Falcons added a net goal with moments remaining to seal the 3-1 earn.

Robbie Goor made 21 saves while struggling the loss, moving his report to 2-1-2 on the season.

Gustavus comes back to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Meeting action with a series as opposed to the University of St. Manley.
