TALLULAH – Glenbrook guys head coach Jeff Dalton appeared to be worried about certain matchups in Tuesday’s win-or-go-home recreation against the WCCA Rams. Those concerns have been gone by halftime.
The Apaches dominated the Rams inside round one of the South Express Tournament, led by Cade Conterez using 18 points and John Windham with a double-double.
The rest of the Glenbrook’s supporting thrown played their roles flawlessly, as the Apaches suffocated the Rams felony with pressure defense, controlling WCCA to 12 first-half points.
“We arrived strong defensively,” Dalton said. “I considered we did a great job with taking their leading scorer out of the game.”
WCCA’s Hutch Holden came into the game averaging 25 per contest. On the midway point, he had simply just four.
“Offensively, we shared the actual ball well and got apperance all night,” Dalton said.
Da’maza Brown added 9 points regarding Glenbrook and Cade Clemons scored 8 details off the bench, providing a fantastic spark.
With the win, Glenbrook protects a spot in next week’s Declare Tournament.
“All our focus is usually on right now,” Dalton claimed. “We’re worried about the challenge an athletic Trinity team poses on Friday.”
The Lovely lady Apaches fought hard, even after one of their two seniors sought out early with an ankle injuries.
They also battled turnovers, missed choices and missed free punches, but their effort was never you are using, as they fell to Amite Faculty Center 44-39.

Dalton led the team with 17 points, followed by Kate Marvin, who came high praise from Dillard to be with her effort, finished with 10.

The Minden Crimson Tide defeated Northwood while in the Palace 48-37 and will now wait their playoff fate, currently perched two spots out at No. 34.
“It was an unpleasant game,” head private coach Rennie Bailey said. “We’re just fortunate all of us won and our expectation are alive for a playoff online game.”
