Minden boys downed by double digits vs Shreve; Minden girls dominate Sweetheart Bucs, 60-40
The Minden Crimson Tide played nicely in spurts, but the Skipper Shreve Gators had too much poise down the extend for Minden to overcome a dual digit deficit as the Keep fell 69-56.
“I thought the junior and inexperience of our company showed last night,” Minden mind coach Rennie Bailey said. “We started the game with a big deficit…I am persuaded by the resiliency this staff continues to show. We were along by as many as 20 together with it as close as hunting for, but weren’t able to win it. We have to learn how to start off better.”
Curtis Carter led your Tide in scoring together with 13 points, Trey Oliver finished with 14 points and Cedrick Emerson was the final Tider in double digits along with 11 points.
Bailey and the Pink Tide will be back on the court Tuesday night on the road against Gibsland-Coleman. In the girls game, John Brown and the Minden Lady Tiders conquered the Haughton Lady Bucs 60-40.
The Lady Tiders by no means broke a sweat when cruising past the Lady Bucs for the second time in four days to weeks, however it wasn’t always very, as the team missed near 10 point-blank shots much to your chagrin of Brown.
