Minden Crimson Tide, Lady Tider all-district selections

    Following highly-successfulcampaigns for the Minden Crimson Tide and Girl Tiders, baseball and softball all-district competitors were released late a couple weeks ago.

    The Crimson Tide (14-12, 8-2 District 1-4A) done as district runner-up to the Benton Lions. The senior-heavy squad got scorching down the stretch in region, including an exciting home glory over North DeSoto in additional innings. For their efforts, nine Tiders landed on the 1-4A all-district team.

    First team selections for the Tide were pitchers Track Francis and Gavin Smith, catcher Matt Eskew, infielder Gunner Stephens along with outifelder Justin McCready. First baseman Cade Coleman was determined to the second team infield, with Aubrey Dennis who was selected to the minute team outfield.

    Seniors Peyton Gray (infielder) and Nike jordan Lyday (outfielder) rounded out the Tide’s all-district list along with honorable mention selections.

    Eight involving Minden’s nine all-district players were older persons, leaving big shoes to fill for theseason. Eskew returns to guide the Tide next season.

    The Minden Female Tiders haven’t enjoyed much achievements in recent years, but this season given a spark to the software as the Lady Tiders finished 13-11 in addition to earned a spot in the School 4A playoffs.

    Olivia Osborne was the lone first team selection for over Tiders, earning first team Electric and Infield. Osborne also handled bullying duties for the Lady Keep.

    Antasia Rhodes made the second team for an infielder and Ma’Liyah Newman garnered second group honors in the outfield.
