Apaches, Lady Apaches earn impressive gains all the perks at home

The Glenbrook Apaches moved their winning streak to six games Thursday night at home against Westside Christian College.

The Apaches held their opponent beneath 50 points for the 3rd consecutive outing, as they keep going a stretch that has these people playing their best defense of year.

It was a satisfying win for your Glenbrook boys considering Westside got the better of those by 8 points earlier this season.

“Westside is a well-coached, relentless staff that gets after it,Inch Glenbrook boys head coach plus Athletic Director Jeff Dalton reported. “We withstood their runs and were able to keep our composure to discover the win.”

Cade Conterez had a signature evening offensively, going for 20 points to contribute the Apaches. Joseph Windham added 12 points and Da’maza Robinson finished with 10 points for Glenbrook.

“Guys have been knocking down shots tonight,In . Dalton said. “We got another really good overall performance on the defensive end as well as showed some toughness about the boards.”

Glenbrook vs. Westside

In a low-scoring match, the Glenbrook Lady Apaches picked up the second win in three days as they defeated the Westside Sterling girls, 35-20 in Minden.

The Lady Apaches a tough time scoring down low against the height of Westside Sterling, but stifling defense shown decisive for coach Rendi Dillard’s company.

“Overall, the girls played really well tonight,” Dillard said. “Westside has beneficial height, but I thought all of us managed them well. All of us still have work to do in many areas, but it was a superior win.”

Offensively, the Lady Apaches were directed by junior Amelia Christy and the girl 11 points, followed by beginner Alyssa Martin with 8 points.

Christy do most of her damage in the free throw line, when she made 7 associated with 10 attempts.

The Apaches and Girl Apaches will hit the road today for a district 6AA game resistant to the Prairie View Academy Spartans. The girls game will start around 6 delaware.m. with the boys activity to follow in Bastrop.
