OPELOUSAS – The Lakeside Warriors saw his or her season come to an end Tuesday for Opelousas Catholic, falling to the No. 5 various seed in a heartbreaker, 5-3.
Lakeside led the experience 3-0 until a disastrous five-run inning performed them in.
“We had a very good opportunity to win,” Lakeside brain coach Will Gray said. “We had one bad inning. This is why they beat us.”
Gray continue to credited his team with regards to resolve throughout the season.
“I’m however proud of the guys,” Greyish said. “We started out in a problem at 1-9 and the kids worked hard to put it back together, outstanding I think 11 out of 12-15 games. They always have fun with hard, and I’m proud of them for that.”
Cameron Gray had a good RBI single to lead Lakeside, followed by Brayden Williams with an RBI. Dalton Crumpler had two singles to end his season. Tanner Web site and Josh Prince each obtained singles to round out the actual Warrior offense.
Lakeside will bring backside plenty of talent for next year.
“If we can bottle up that which we feel right now and bring this specific into next season it can be healthy for this team,” Dreary said. “With the group we have ever coming back, we should be a pretty good squad.”
